Let's learn to study instead of "REPEATING what we hear" ok 🤷🏾‍♀️
Question:
I'm a christian. a minister. a psalmist. who does God see me as?
God sees you as a beloved and forgiven child, called to live with purpose and significance as part of His family, and uniquely gifted to serve and worship through ministry and song.
### Your Identity in Christ
God's Word says your identity is anchored in Christ: you are forgiven, deeply loved, and called to fulfill God's purpose for your life[1]. You are no longer a stranger, but a member of God's household and one of His people (Ephesians 2:19)[2][3]. God has adopted you, given you a new name, and made you a new creation in Christ—no longer defined by past mistakes but by His love and righteousness.
### God's View of a Minister
Ministers are called to serve God and His people, reflecting Jesus’ own servant-hearted example (Matthew 20:28). As a minister, God sees you as a shepherd to the flock, entrusted with teaching, guiding, and caring for believer's spiritual needs.
Your role is to help others discover their purpose, build up the church, and model Christ-like character and selfless love.
### The Heart of a Psalmist
As a psalmist, God delights in your gift of musical praise and worship[8][9][10]. Psalmists are devoted worshipers who express faith, gratitude, and reverence through song and poetry, often reflecting on God's mercy, faithfulness, and love (Psalm 145:8-9)
The Holy Spirit inspires psalmists to use their talents for God and the faith community, bringing comfort, hope, and encouragement through authentic worship.
### In Summary
- You are forgiven and loved without condition.
 - You are called—trusted with a sacred purpose as servant and leader in God's family.
 - You are a worshiper—your songs and devotion honor God and uplift His people.
 - Your identity is secure: you are chosen, handpicked, and precious to God.
In all your roles, God sees you as His cherished child, equipped and called to reflect His love, serve His Church, and worship Him with all your heart.
Am I still seen a as a filthy rag in his eyes?
No, you are not seen as a filthy rag in God's eyes if you are in Christ, forgiven, and saved. The “filthy rags” phrase from Isaiah 64:6 refers to human attempts at righteousness apart from God and was specifically addressing Israel in rebellion, emphasizing that no good work can earn God's favour without His grace. But once you have repented, accepted Jesus, and been made new, God sees you clothed in Christ’s righteousness—not in your own failed efforts.
### “Filthy Rags” in Context
Isaiah described the self-righteous deeds of those far from God as “filthy rags,” meaning they were spiritually stained and unacceptable because the people’s hearts were distant, not surrendered. This does not describe you as a forgiven believer who has been renewed and blessed with the Holy Spirit.
### Your Status in Christ
For those who are born again, their old status as “unclean” is replaced by the new identity in Jesus. The righteousness that covers you is Christ's own perfect righteousness, given to you by faith, not earned by human works. God delights in the evidence of true transformation and good works flowing from salvation—not as “filthy rags,” but as a precious result of being justified and loved.
### Forgiveness and New Life
God has removed your sins, separated them far from you, and restored your friendship with Him through Jesus’ sacrifice. You no longer live under condemnation, but in grace and acceptance, guided by God's Spirit as His child. God does not view you by your old failures, but by the new identity bestowed upon you through Christ.
You are accepted, cleansed, and given a new purpose—not as a filthy rag, but as a beloved, righteous child in His eyes.
